First, I’m not a spineless eligible guy, all too occupied by sitting at home alone every weekend. It’s unlikely nobody probably never read me ramble about great dating and companionship. There’s a reason for that.

Dependence is a fixable popular feeling and completely neglected in my values. Let me go on, I’ll level with you, I had no choice but to put the breaks on a 3-year cohabitation that meant something to me but simply would never last. I guess one could go on record saying it has been years since I dated. I can’t find the great expectations for dating I used to enjoy.

Living free and single isn’t bad. This much is certain, I can’t stay in peacefully binging on Lost reruns. The primary reason for this case of occasional dating apathy? My coworkers are stiffs, and there are fewer available women.

My accomplished college friend, Josh, who doesn’t know the meaning of dating apathy, sympathized because he is currently somewhere he can relate. He introduced me to this Dallas dating service called Great Expectations. I take to chatting up quality women who share my passions. Go figure, I decided to make a change and signed up.

Be honest, you wouldn’t grovel by going dateless when ya haven’t tried to meet anyone. Just like our old baseball coach Jason Simms chimed in between war stories, “If you don’t run you can’t score, sonny.”

The man didn’t know my name. Even so, he was a source of truth in a way nobody could understand. He meant well to everyone. The care-free Dallas matchmaking service I joined definitely would have done a number on the gipper’s brain.

At yesterday’s Great Expectations dating events I breezily chatted with a few quality and attractive ladies that hold my interest. I actually had a blast with a few terrific well-situated men and women. Went home with an exchange of digits, and even came across some professional connections for my business. Right on!

Take action. Can’t win if you don’t try. Take it from me, believe in your own great expectations for dating.
