Patio Furniture

It is true that everyone waits for summer to descend. The cheerful summer weather is somewhat liberating and can make us full of vitality. This is also perhaps the right time to acquire some new furniture for your garden patio. The quality of your old things looks completely ruinous and terrible as soon as winter wanes out. Is the condition of your wooden furniture worsening? If the answer is in the affirmative, then you ought to seriously consider acquiring some new furniture to give your patio a brand new look. More reviews, advice and information can be found online at Tesco garden furniture.

Garden patio furniture is available in a variety of size, material, design and styles and depending on where you look for them, you could strike some good bargains too. Keep the vagaries of the wet season in mind when you are hunting for them. Any equipment which can withstand heat and moisture, which have high longevity and which require practically no maintenance, ought to be your choice.

One such patio furniture is the ones made in stainless steel and aluminum. They come in various shapes and sizes, from simple stools to elegant bar high-chairs. When the prime factor in selection is how hard-wearing they are, then the perfect choice would be wrought-iron furniture. These not only bring about a Victorian aura but with their designs can also make your garden patio look plush and nice.

If you want your furniture to have a natural air about them, then wooden ones are best. Because the color of the wood is earthy, it fits best with a landscaped garden patio and become one with the natural flora and fauna. However, a lot of sweat and labor would go behind finding this material for your garden furniture. You need to apply wood preservatives and coatings to make it weather resistance and can last for years.

Chartered Brands Spins into Three Sixty Brands

Even brand managers can undergo major rebranding.

One of UK’s premier brand management businesses, CharteredBrands, now wants to be called Three Sixty Brands.

The rebranding is on the heels of the company’s management buyout, which was led by Philip Craig, its managing director.

Winner of Scotland’s Marketing Excellence Award for Brand Company of the Year in 2007, CharteredBrands is associated with several successful brand marketing campaigns in the UK.

First of all, Britons were made to drink Pomegreat due to Charteredbrands. Much of CharteredBrands’ work was known for making Pomegreat one of the most distinguishable pomegranate juices in the country today. For its singular work with Pomegreat, CharteredBrands went home with three plums no less at Scotland’s Marketing Excellence Awards in 2006.

CharteredBrands was also enlisted to manage and market Duraflame, Filetti, Frish, Glist, Limelite, Sqezy, Tiger Tim, Vitsmart Enriched Water, White Satin Gin and other reputable UK brands.

Somehow “Three Sixty Brands” sounds better than CharteredBrands. The new moniker implies a company’s roundedness, something wanting of a company known largely for its work with pomegranate juices and firelighters.

It all rests on the shoulders of the managers who headed the buyout. Craig shouldn’t have any trouble, seeing as how he is credited for forming the company Maxxium Worldwide. He also was a former JBB board member.

The brand management company is based in Edinburgh.

A Journey of Learning Hebrew

by Neal Walters In 1990, I was planning a trip to Israel, but it got postponed due to Desert Storm and the Gulf War. I finally go on a tour trip of Israel in 1996. But in the late 80s, in Oklahoma, before the internet, how does one begin to learn Hebrew? That was in the dark ages before internet. Audio Forum had a language catalog, and I learned about the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) courses. These courses were created by the US government, and used to teach either military or diplomats. The cassette tapes that came with FSI were useful, but the book lacked a lot. It was designed by the government for an instructor to use in a classroom environment, NOT for an individual to use for self study. Even today, I have never gone back to complete that book. Eventually, on a business trip, I visited one of the Borders book stores, which were all huge and new at the time. I found a “reader”, a book that teaches the alphabet, and had lots of practice exercises, where the student tries to read pages and pages of syllables and words. I began learning more and more prayer book Hebrew by attending synagogue. Each week, certain tunes would stick in my mind, and I would go home and try to learn the words to go with the tune. Music and singing definitely helps with the memorization. I used Menahem Mansoor’s “Biblical Hebrew: Step by Step” to get an introduction to Biblical Hebrew. A few years later, a friend taught Biblical Hebrew to a small group using Jacob Weingreen’s “A Practical Grammar for Classical Hebrew”. This is a very serious book, which we finished a couple of years later, doing one lesson every week or two. For Modern Hebrew, I remember using “Hugo Language Course: Hebrew in Three Months” and also Eliezar Tirkel’s “Every Hebrew”. Both came with a book and 3 or 4 cassettes. I like the Hugo course slightly better. A few years ago, I signed-up for two semesters of an online Hebrew course offered by Boston’s Hebrew College. The textbook was “Hebrew From Scratch - Part II” (with 5 CDs available). There was a lot of homework required, and we met with our teacher online each week for practicing conversation. Later, I took classes in Aggadic Literature and Talmud, which introduced Medieval Hebrew and Aramaic. Learning Hebrew can be very rewarding. I still can’t speak it as well as I would like, but the journey is still on going. Teaching Hebrew to others is one or the best ways to continue learning the language. Neal Walters now creates more direct paths to learning Hebrew. You can learn Hebrew faster with his courses at http://HebrewResources.com. This and other unique content learn hebrew articles are available with free reprint rights.

Accountability

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21).

I remark, then, that a man is overcome of evil:

1. When ill-treatment excites the angry passions
2. When he settles down into confirmed hatred of the offender
3. When he indulges designs of revenge
4. When the ill-treatment of one leads us to suspect the friendship of others
5. When abuse begets habitual sourness of temper
6. When he attempts unnecessarily a public vindication of his character
D.A. Clark

In Romans 12 Paul is more concerned with our responsibilities than our rights. There is a law of accountability that presupposes obligations to our brothers and sisters, for we are not islands unto ourselves. If someone has done what we consider wrongdoing, we do not have the right to make their wrong our right to avenge, for only God can assess motivations. We do have a responsibility to keep our own heart right in relation to that person. We should be on our knees with words of love for the person instead of words of anger and gossip on our tongues, making the situation much worse.

A story is told of a duke who wanted to war against one of his peaceful neighbors. The troops rode into the town and found the children playing in the streets and the people at their usual occupations. They pulled up their horses and asked one of the workers, “Where is the enemy?” The man replied, “I don’t know. We’re your friends.” There was nothing left to do but ride back home. The duke was disarmed by goodness and innocence.

“Do not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary bless. . .” (1 Peter 3:9 RSV). There are times when this seems impossible! Ask Jesus to stand between you and the one who has hurt you; let Him be your Filter.

Dolphin Quick Facts

Dolphins are marine mammals found in all the world’s oceans, relatives to whales and porpoises. River dolphins live in freshwater rivers and lakes. They are intelligent and playful creatures and friendly to humans.

Dolphins have a sleek body shape, which helps them to be good swimmers. They have long snouts, a row of sharp teeth, and a blowhole for breathing on top of the head. They feed on fish, squid, and other small marine life.

Feeding dolphins at SeaWorld, OrlandoDolphins are social animals, and usually live and hunt in groups. They communicate with each other with sounds such as whistles, screeches, and clicks. Dolphins are often friendly to humans, riding on waves produced by boats, aiding lost swimmers, and adapting to life in captivity performing tricks and jumps.

There are at least 40 different species of dolphins. The one most commonly used in amusement parks and performances is bottlenose dolphin, which has a ‘built-in’ smile formed by the curvature of its mouth. The killer whale, or orca, is the largest member of dolphin family.
Physical features

Dolphins have a sleek body shape, so as to offer the least resistance for swimming. The two flippers located underside help the dolphin steer its course. The bones in these flippers resemble human hand! The tail with flukes provides the main swimming force.

As mammals, dolphins have to breathe air. They do so through a single blowhole on the top of the head. It has a muscular plug to keep water out of the lungs while diving. The head has a long snout. Dolphins have a long row of conical teeth that are used for catching and tearing prey - not for chewing.

Different dolphin species vary a lot in size. The smallest one, tucuxi dolphin, is about 4 feet (1.2m) long and weighs about 110 pounds (50kg), whereas the enormous killer whales is over 30 feet (9-10m) long and weighs 12,000 pounds (5 500 kg).

You’ve seen the gray ones, but dolphins can also be black or brown, and can have patterns of white or light colors.

In the middle of their back, many dolphins have what is called a dorsal fin. It helps them to keep their balance. Furthermore, each dolphin’s dorsal fin is shaped differently from the others. It’s like an identification mark. In some ocean dolphins, the dorsal fin is hooked-shape instead of like a triangle. The male killer whales have very tall dorsal fins whereas in river dolphins it scarcely forms a ridge on the back.

Besides using eyes, dolphins can find their way by making clicking sounds, and listening to the sounds that echo or bounce back to them from their surroundings. This is called echolocation.

Under their skin, dolphins have a layer of fat called blubber. It insulates the dolphin so it can keep warm even in cold water. The colder the water is where the dolphin lives, the thicker the layer of blubber.

Behavior

Dolphins are social animals that live in schools of varying size; some only have 2-5 dolphins while enormous schools of 1,000 or more have been found as well. A typical school of bottlenose dolphins might be 10-20 individuals.

For food, dolphins hunt fish, squid and other invertebrates; killer whales also feed on other marine mammals, sea turtles, and birds. Dolphins often hunt together, trying to catch schools of fish. They can use echolocation to find prey in deep, dark waters.

Dolphins make whistles, clicks, and screeching sounds to communicate with each other, and for echolocation. In many species each individual dolphin makes a unique ’signature whistle’. Human-made underwater sounds, such as used with sonar images, can interfere with dolphins’ communication, and even injure tissues used for hearing and air intake.

Dolphins also help each other in various ways. If a dolphin is sick and can’t raise to the surface to get air, another one supports it at the surface so it can breathe. Or, a dolphin may stay near an injured or sick one as a companion. Dolphins also defend an injured one against a threat such as a boat.

Male and female dolphin take part in courtship, which involves playing, caressing, and ’songs’. Gestation lasts about a year, and then a single calf is born. Calving usually occurs once every two years. Dolphin mother produces very high-fat milk for her young. The calf is weaned aroud 6 months to two years.

Certain dolphin species live quite long, 50 years or more, while the bottlenose dolphin and common dolphin typically live around 20-25 years.

How To Look For Baby Books

Look for Books! The books that you pick to read with your
child is very important. If you aren’t sure of what books
are right for your child, ask a librarian to help you choose
titles.

Introduce your child to books when she or he is a baby. Let
her/him hold and play with books made just for babies: board
books with study cardboard covers and thick pages; cloth
books that are soft and washable, touch-and-feel books, or
lift-the-flap books that contain surprises for your baby to
discover. Choose books with covers that have big, simple
pictures of things that she/he sees every day. Don’t be
upset if at first your child chews or throws a book. Be
patient. Cuddling with the child as you point to and talk
with great excitement about the book’s pictures will soon
capture her interest. When your baby becomes a toddler, she
will enjoy helping to choose books for you to read to her.

As your child grows into a preschooler and kindergartner,
the two of you can look for books that have longer stories
and more words on the pages. Also look for books that have
repeating words and phrases that she can begin to read or
recognize when she sees them. By early first grade, add to
this mix some books designed for beginning readers,
including some books that have chapters and some books that
show photographs and provide true information rather than
make-believe stories.

Keep in mind that young children most often enjoy books
about people, places, and things that are like those they
know. The books can be about where you live or about parts
of your culture, such as your religion, your holidays, or
the way that you dress. If your child has special interests,
such as dinosaurs or ballerinas, look for books about those
interests.

From your child’s toddler years through early first grade,
you also should look for books of poems and rhymes. Remember
when your baby heard your talking sounds and tried to
imitate them? Rhymes are an extension of that language
skill. By hearing and saying rhymes, along with repeated
words and phrases, your child learns about spoken sounds and
about words. Rhymes also spark a child’s excitement about
what comes next, which adds fun and adventure to reading.

Are You Giving Yourself A Hard Time?

Are you constantly criticizing yourself for every little time you do wrong, for example saying things to ourselves like….”I should have said this”… “Look I can’t even do this simple thing”… “Everyone thinks I’m stupid” etc, etc.

I put my hand up too, I know I’m guilty of this as well as everyone, I often say things like “I wonder will anybody read this article” or “maybe they will think it stinks” blah, blah, blah.

But when you think of it if you had a best friend and you talked to them like this how long would they stay with you?.. Or would they even want to be around you? But we do this everyday and, when you really think about you’ll never be able to escape from “you” no matter how far you run, so today give yourself a break!!

We often go through our day to day life being constantly stressed out and on edge but when you think about it how much stress is actually coming from the outside and how much are you actually making yourself through negative thinking and letting your imagination run away with you?? So, today treat yourself and give yourself a pep talk

Try out this exercise on yourself when you have some quiet time to yourself. Put your left hand on your heart chakra (this point is in the middle of your chest) and slowly focus on your breathing as you do this, imagine your breath coming in through your hand and into your chest and with every inhalation feel a wave of relaxation entering with it.

And as you breathe out feel the stress going out of your body back out through your hand. When you find yourself starting to relax, start to say some positive affirmations to yourself out loud. Congratulate yourself for all that you’ve done that day and anything positive else you’d like to say.

If you find it a bit awkward to think of things to say to yourself …. mentally step back and think of you as a small child or a friend you really like and imagine what nice things they’d like to hear you say to them and then say these to yourself.

You’ll definitely start to feel a lot better about yourself and probably in the future you’ll catch yourself before you call yourself something nasty or start to pick on yourself!!

Visit http://www.scienceofbreath.be and Claim Your FREE 12 PAGE REPORT NOW packed full of some of the best breathing excercises…and learn how to stimulate your lung cells, stimulate your circulation, improve your complextion and much, much, more.

Passing Cisco CCNA And CCNP Exams: Ping And Extended Ping

I often tell CCNA and CCNP candidates that you do your best learning when you screw something up. I often get a funny look right after I say that, but the only way to develop your Cisco troubleshooting skills - the skills you’ll need to pass your Intro, ICND, and CCNP exams - is by actually fixing configurations. Since your employer will take a dim view of you practicing these skills on his or her network, you better do so on your home lab!
Three essential tools for networking and CCNA/CCNP exam success are ping, extended ping, and traceroute. Today we’re going to take a look at the ping that we’re used to using for LAN issues, and the extended ping.

We’re all familiar with “basic” ping, where you use the ping command followed by the IP address you want to confirm IP connectivity with. When you’ve got connectivity, you will see five exclamation points, as seen here:

R1#ping 172.12.123.2

Type escape sequence to abort.

Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 172.12.123.2, timeout is 2 seconds:

!!!!!

Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 68/68/72 ms

The default source IP address for ping is the IP address closest to the destination IP address. Other defaults - five ICMP packets will be sent (that’s why you see five exclamation points), and they’re sent two seconds apart.

That’s fine for many basic situations, but as you progress through your networking career and most advanced scenarios in your CCNA / CCNP studies, you will want to change some of these defaults. What could you do if you wanted to send 10,000 pings? What if you needed your router’s loopback address to be the source IP address for the pings? What if you wanted to send them five seconds apart, instead of two?

That’s where extended ping comes in. To use extended ping, just type “ping” and hit enter. (Note that you cannot use extended ping in user exec mode - you must be in enable mode to do so.)

R1>ping

% Incomplete command.

“incomplete command” indicates that the router is waiting for an IP address; you can’t use extended ping in user exec mode.

R1>enable

R1#ping

Protocol [ip]:

Target IP address: 172.16.123.1

Repeat count [5]: 1000

Datagram size [100]:

Timeout in seconds [2]:

Extended commands [n]: y

Source address or interface: loopback0

Type of service [0]:

Set DF bit in IP header? [no]:

Validate reply data? [no]:

Data pattern [0xABCD]:

Loose, Strict, Record, Timestamp, Verbose[none]:

Sweep range of sizes [n]:

Type escape sequence to abort.

Sending 1000, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 172.16.123.1, timeout is 2 seconds:

Packet sent with a source address of 1.1.1.1

…………………………………

In this example, I sent 1000 ICMP packets to an address that doesn’t exist, so I am getting periods instead of exclamation points. This illustration shows you the many options you have with extended ping.

Now that I’ve sent those 1000 pings, let’s say that I want to stop that process. At the beginning of the basic ping output, you see this phrase:
Type escape sequence to abort.

This escape sequence works for ping, extended ping, and traceroute. Funny thing, though - Cisco doesn’t tell you what the escape sequence is! One day, this will really come in handy. The escape sequence is , TWICE in rapid succession.

After I used it in this example, the pings stopped and I got this message:

Success rate is 0 percent (0/192)

The ping stopped after 192 ICMP packets were sent.

This keystroke takes a little practice, so practice it in your home lab. Knowing how to use extended ping will really come in handy on your CCNA and CCNP exams as well as your real-life networking job, and knowing how to stop an extended ping will as well!
